RVPD Media Log                            April 23 – 29, 2017

This media log highlights some of the activity RVPD officers have been involved with during the past week:

During the period of April 23-29, 2017 RVPD Officers responded to 93 calls for service, including 7 calls requiring emergency response.  Officers also conducted an additional 65 public contacts. 

On 4/29/2017 at 1956 hours, officers were dispatched to the area of Sacramento Street and N. Third Street regarding a suspected DUI driver on a motorcycle.  Officers spoke with the reporting person and established probable cause to contact the motorcycle rider, who was now seated on the curb.  Officers contacted Robert Grahn, age 60 from Brentwood.  Grahn submitted to field sobriety tests and was determined to be riding his motorcycle while intoxicated.  Grahn was placed under arrest for DUI.

On 4/29/2017 at 1830 hours, officers observed a subject that was known to have an active warrant for his arrest.  Officers then contacted Donald Davenport, age 36 from Rio Vista and confirmed the warrant status.  Officers placed Davenport under arrest and transported him to Solano County Jail.

On 4/29/2017 at 1135 hours, an officer observed a parked vehicle that has been marked for possible violation of the 72 hours parking ordinance.  The vehicle had not been moved and was in violation of the ordinance.  The vehicle was removed by tow truck and stored.

On 4/28/2017 at 2338 hours, an officer observed a vehicle being operated on State Route 12 with expired registration stickers displayed.  The officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and contacted the driver, Kelli Reed, age 53 from Fairfield.  Reed was determined to have an active warrant for her arrest.  Reed was taken into custody and transported to Solano County Jail.

On 4/28/2017 at 2132 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle with expired registration stickers displayed.  The officer contacted the driver, Sebastian Rubin, age 39 from Piedmont.  Rubin was determined to have a suspended driver license.   Rubin was issued a citation for the violation and released on his promise to appear in Solano County court.  The vehicle was impounded.

On 4/28/2017 at 1834 hours, officers responded to and assisted with a two vehicle collision on State Route 12 near Cattey Lane. No injuries were reported.

On 4/28/2017 at 0852 hours, officers were dispatched to Val De Flores Park for a report of a disturbance.  Upon arrival and contact with all involved parties, it was determined that one of the dog-walkers spoke offensively and showed aggression toward another dog-walker in the park.  Criminal charges were requested by the victim against the alleged aggressor

On 4/27/2017 at 1715 hours, officers responded to a residence regarding a welfare check on an individual making suicidal threats on Facebook.  Officers arrived and determined the subject did not want to harm herself.  The subject then became angry with her husband and struck him in the chest with her palm, while in the presence of the officers.  The subject was arrested for domestic battery and transported to the Solano County Jail.

On 4/27/2017 at 1623 hours, an officer conducted an enforcement stop for a vehicle code violation.  Upon contact with the driver, Terrell Richardson, age 24 from Vallejo, it was determined he had a suspended license.  The driver was issued a citation to appear at the Solano County Courthouse.

On 4/26/2017 at 2104 hours, officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle for expired registration stickers displayed.  While speaking with the driver, the officer noticed objective signs and symptoms that the driver was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.  Upon completion of a DUI investigation, officers arrested Rebecca McDowell, age 55 from Rio Vista for DUI.  McDowell was transported to Solano County Jail.

On 4/25/2017 at 1934 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle for not having 2 license plated attached.  The officer contacted the driver, Christy Hahaj, age 50 from Rio Vista and determined she did not have a valid license to drive.  Hahaj was issued a citation for the violation and released on her promise to appear in Solano County Court.  The vehicle was towed.

On 4/25/2017 at 1112 hours, an officer responded to a storage facility on Airport Road on a report of stolen auto parts.  The reporting person stated that an unknown person had taken several parts off his parked vehicle, including 4 tires, a battery and miscellaneous engine parts, sometime during the past night.  A report was taken to document the incident.

On 4/24/2017 at 1341 hours, a resident on the 600 block of Main Street reported a theft of property.  The resident stated that an unknown person had taken a macerator pump from the rear of her residence 3 days ago.  A report was taken to document the incident.

On 4/24/2017 at 0820 hours, a resident contacted RVPD after finding a bicycle abandoned in her backyard on S. Fifth Street.  The bicycle was placed into RVPD property for safekeeping.

On 4/23/2017 at 2330 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle on State Route 12 after observing it traveling at an unsafe speed.  The officer contacted the driver, Blake Walker, age 26 from Stockton and observed objective symptoms of alcohol consumption.  The officer conducted a series of field sobriety tests and determined Walker was under the influence of alcohol.  Walker was placed under arrest for DUI and transported to Solano County Jail.

On 4/23/2017 at 1621 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle for expired registration stickers displayed.  The driver, Raymond Gonzales, age 28 W. Sacramento was determined to have a suspended driver license.  Gonzales was issued a citation for the violations and released on his promise to appear in Solano County Court.

On 4/23/2017 at 1145 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign.  The office contacted the driver, Emmanuel Yenz-Michaca, age 28 from Hercules was determined to have a suspended driver license.  Yenz-Michaca was issued a citation for the violation and released on his promise to appear in Solano County Court.
